The prefectures of Kozani, Grevena, Kastoria, Prespes, Florina, Fthiotida, Greece are areas that are away from big centers, and the winter lasts longer and is stronger than in other parts of Greece. The areas though, manage to produce furs, wine, saffron, peaches and mushrooms for which the above-mentioned areas are famous. In that way, the land allows local people of the area to work but also associate their living with sustainable forms of tourism, such as the production of local products that come from their land.
